Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Prove We Can't ("PWC") website and services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. The service
PWC provides a community platform including Shine a Light, job listings, Tumbleweeds, Friends & Supporters, address book, sponsorships, membership and badge services. We aim to provide a safe space for women and allies. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and update it as needed. One account per person; do not create accounts for others without permission.
4. Membership and payments
Paid membership is offered at the price and terms shown at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe; by subscribing you agree to Stripe's terms and our billing terms. Fees are generally non-refundable unless required by law or we state otherwise. Your membership and badge access continue until the end of the current billing period; on expiry or cancellation, badge validity and member-only features (e.g. address book, sponsorships) will cease as described on the site. We may change fees with advance notice; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
5. Your content and conduct
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant us a licence to use, store, display and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the service. You must comply with our Acceptable Use policy. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or harm the community. We do not endorse user content and are not liable for it.
6. Intellectual property
The PWC name, logo, and the design and code of the platform are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify or use them without our written permission, except as necessary to use the service (e.g. displaying your member badge as intended).
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Job listings and other user content are not verified by us unless we say so. You use the service at your own risk. Nothing here excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we (and our affiliates, directors, employees and agents) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profit, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or one hundred pounds, if greater).
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, our Acceptable Use policy, or for other operational or legal reasons. On termination, your right to use the service and (where applicable) your membership and badge cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution) will survive.
10. Disputes and law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer in another jurisdiction and local law gives you mandatory rights that cannot be varied by contract.
