Acceptable Use
Last updated: 5 June 2026
1. Purpose
Prove We Can't exists to create a safe, supportive community for women and allies. This Acceptable Use policy sets out what we expect from everyone who uses the platform and what behaviour we do not allow. By using the service you agree to follow these standards. Breach may result in content removal, account suspension, or a ban.
2. Do
- Be respectful and supportive. Lift others up.
- Use Shine a Light to celebrate real women and their achievements.
- Post jobs that genuinely offer equal pay and equal treatment.
- Share experiences in Tumbleweeds in a way that respects others; use anonymity where it helps.
- Report content or behaviour that breaks these rules or makes you feel unsafe.
- Keep your account and contact details accurate and secure.
- Use the address book and sponsorship offerings only for their intended purpose and in line with their terms.
3. Do not
You must not:
- Harass, bully, threaten or abuse anyone, including other members, or encourage others to do so.
- Post hate speech, discrimination or incitement based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other protected characteristics.
- Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Post false or misleading information (e.g. fake job listings, fabricated Shine stories, or defamatory content about individuals or organisations).
- Spam, scrape or automate posting or messaging in a way that disrupts the service or other users.
- Share others' private information without consent (doxing), or use the address book or member data for unsanctioned contact or commercial use.
- Circumvent bans or restrictions (e.g. creating new accounts after a ban, or evading technical or moderation measures).
- Use the service for illegal activity or to promote or facilitate illegal activity.
- Violate third-party rights (e.g. intellectual property, confidentiality) in content you post.
4. Jobs and employers
Job listings must reflect real roles from employers committed to equal pay and equal treatment. We may verify employers and remove or ban listings and accounts that misrepresent pay, conditions or equality commitments. Reports from the community help us act; we may suspend listings while we investigate.
5. Reporting and moderation
If you see content or behaviour that breaks this policy, use the report options on the site (e.g. on Tumbleweed posts) or contact us. We will review reports and take action where appropriate, which may include warning, content removal, account suspension or a permanent ban. We may also act on our own initiative. We do not discuss moderation decisions in detail with third parties to protect privacy and our processes.
6. Changes
We may update this Acceptable Use policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. For significant changes we will aim to give notice where reasonable.
7. Contact
For questions or to report a concern, contact us at community@provewecant.com (or the contact address on the site).
