Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 June 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work properly, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. We may also use similar technologies such as local storage or session storage where appropriate.
2. How we use cookies
Prove We Can't uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary: Required for the site to function (e.g. keeping you signed in, securing your session, load balancing). These cannot be switched off.
- Functional: Remember your preferences (e.g. language, display options) to improve your experience.
- Analytics and performance: To understand how visitors use the site (e.g. pages visited, errors) so we can improve it. We aim to use these in a way that minimises identification of individuals.
- Security: To help detect and prevent abuse, fraud and other security issues.
Our authentication and database provider (Supabase) and our payment provider (Stripe) may set their own cookies when you sign in or complete a payment. Their use is governed by their respective privacy and cookie policies.
3. Cookie duration
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a set period (e.g. until expiry or until you delete them). We will not keep identifiable cookies longer than necessary for the purpose for which they are set.
4. Your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site (including sign-in and membership features) from working. Where we use non-essential cookies that require consent, we will seek your consent where required by law (e.g. in the UK/EEA for non-essential cookies).
5. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
